How To Play

AirPlay TV Baseball allows you to play along live with others while watching select baseball games throughout the season. There are 3 easy steps to getting started:

  1. Select the game you wish to play from the game schedule.
  2. Turn on the TV to watch the game you selected.
  3. As you watch, you'll be asked questions about the game action LIVE - answer them correctly for points and work your way up the leaderboard!

It's best to be there at the beginning of the game so that you don't miss any point scoring opportunities! Every 3-innings is a new game, so if you join late get some practice in before the next 3 inning game starts. Along with situational questions you answer as each batter comes to the plate, you also answer Gamebreakers at the start of the 1st, 4th and 7th innings. Gamebreakers are high point value questions that usually resolve at the end of the 3 inning period, giving you a chance at the end to move up the standings.

It's easy to play but hard to win!

Scoring

Situational questions vary in points based on the probability of their outcome. These questions are presented as each batter comes to the plate and are resolved after the outcome is determined. Take a chance on a rare event happening and you will earn more points if it occurs.

In addition, the Gamebreaker questions are presented at the start of every 3-innings period (1st, 4th, 7th) and pay off at the end. These questions are worth a lot of points and can impact the leaderboard so be sure to get in early to make your picks!

LEADERBOARDS

There are two leaderboards that update in real time as you are competing - your Group leaderboard and the Global leaderboard. Your Group leaderboard shows how you are doing in your group - whether it is a Public Group of players or a Private Group you have set up with your friends. The Global leaderboard shows the top players of all the players currently playing.

In the game score header your opponent's score is defaulted to show your group leader's score. If you are the leader in your group, then the 2nd place player's score will be displayed. You may change the view of the opponent to target anyone in your leaderboard by simply highlighting an opponent and then selecting the 'Target' button. You may change your 'Target' as often as you wish.

When you select to target another player, they will see an eyeball icon next to your name on the leaderboard. If someone has selected you as their opponent, an eyeball icon will appear next to their name in your leaderboard.

Community Features

AirPlay TV includes some great community features including a Friends List, Private Groups, and Chat. Here's how to use these features:

  • Join Friends - You can find and join friends who are currently playing by either a) selecting an event that shows a friends icon on the schedule, then selecting the group with your friend that you want to join, or finding your friend on your Friends list and selecting "Join".

WINNING THE GAME

With AirPlay TV Baseball, each three inning period is a new game, so if you don't quite make it to the top of the leaderboard during one set of innings, try again the next. You are competing in a small group of players as well as against everyone else playing - you can see how you're doing against each of these in real time by selecting the Group or Global leaderboards. Knowing your baseball and answering more questions correctly is the only way to win!

AirPlay Points

Your points during the game help you gain AirPlay Points which earn you entries into AirPlay's weekly sweepstakes as well as status within the AirPlay community. Visit www.airplay.com to see your current AirPlay Points balance and check the full leaderboards to see where you stack up!
